Lee Adcock - July 2016
You wouldn't know from my output on Dandelion, but I've been in a bit of a dry spell lately. Hadn't been to any record shops in months; hadn't bought anything off Bandcamp for weeks. This show marks a turning point - the return of an immense thirst, accidental ephipanies, unmeditated discovery. The Gotobeds provide fire and an impetus, an immediate desire to clash horns with eggheads; Quimper and Marta Mist provide fantastic backdrops, of such curious and lucid detail that journeys unfold within them; Pikelet offers herself, honesty and wizardry merging into one serene broadcast from a distant horizon.
On the lighter side, we have a silly pun from Mister Lettuce, wonky gypsy jazz from Vienna Ditto, and something I can't even put my finger on from Adult Jazz; on the abstract side (which may not even be a side - what), we have Cage-like compositions from Adam Asnan, a hushed household from Deux Filles, and paranoid monologues from AJ Cornell and Tim Darcy. And, of course, the usual melange of scuzzy amateurs (Man Up Yancey), established stalwarts (Melvins, plus a slew of other bassists), and face-flattening noise (Triage). And while I've rigidly avoided backward gazing in the past, a reissue of Boris's Pink was too almighty to ignore.

We have a session this month is the show from, Pet Crow, a recording of their live set at JT Soar in Nottingham last month.
As well as that there's masses of stuff from the Funk na Caixa label out of Brazil.
There's some footwork from DJ Roc and something lovely from 33k. We have more from Japan's Otoboke Beaver and some baseline from Tommy P. Go check, there's loads more ...

We welcome back the wonderful Vert:x for their long-awaited second session this month. There are also new and recent releases from the likes of Holy Fuck, Pye Corner Audio and Road Worrier, plus a glimpse of what's going to be on the next Sekotis album, a track from an album from Nilaesh that's just had a welcome reissue and something from the last leg of the, until now, neglected (at least by this show) Maicamia trilogy.
Eastern Europe is represented with tracks from the new album from Russian's Asian Women On The Telephone, Godgiven from Hungary and another track from very possibly my album of the year, courtesy of Poland's Staraya Derevnya. We've got a featured compilation in the form of Volume 2 of 'Wake Up You!', which showcases yet more incredible tunes from 1970s Nigeria, a very welcome re-release from late seventies Ethiopia from the almost unfeasibly reliable Awesome Tapes From Africa and a couple of cracking singles from the Zam Zam Sounds label.
We've got a three-track Peek Back...section this month too, playing three tunes from the classic session month of July 1986.

Pete Jackson - July 2016
It is July 2016, the UK: as the old certainties crumble and a chill breeze of isolationism is in the air, Pete offers more of the same outward-looking inclusiveness that we have come to expect from Dandelion Radio.
So, dive in for some sounds of Ukrainian industry, Brazilian fuzzy jungle, Canadian post-rock and garage from the Portuguese 80s underground.
In other news, you should also expect important information if driving from Surrey to Coventry, and advice if approaching your 30th birthday.

Rocker - July 2016
Two hours packed with music, including a debut session from Plume Of Feathers, and new tracks from The Fireworks; MJ Hibbett & The Validators; Oh Boy; The City Yelps; Rainbow Reservoir; T.O.Y.S; Muddy Summers & The Dirty Field Whores; Teenage Fanclub; Jessica & The Fletchers; Beau; and Trust Fund.
There's electronica from Isaac Tichauer remixed by Bicep; Marc Romboy & Stephan Bodzin remixed by Adriatique; M. Craft remixed by Beyond The Wizard's Sleeve; and Frankey & Sandrino. Meanwhile Portishead cover ABBA and dedicate the track to recently-murdered MP Jo Cox; The Phoenix City All-stars cover The Rolling Stones; and Tocotronic cover The Special AKA. There's also politics from The Mekons; The Bordellos; Martin Bramah; and UK rapper Koxe.
This month's Peel's Big 45 is from a Canadian-based all-girl band's debut release from 1995, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a mid-paced soul classic from Detroit 1967.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: A fund has been set up in memory of Jo Cox, to benefit the RVS, Hope Not Hate, and The White Helmet volunteers in Syria. http://gofundme.com/jocox

Sean Hocking - July 2016
Welcome to Ring of Fire world..
While rock stars die around us and the 52% make a choice even more stupid than drinking Special Brew, I bury myself in music hoping it might all go away.
Great new band from Birmingham Black Bombers are definitely worth your time and, as much as everybody else disses it, I adore the new one from The Avalanches.
London based Ashley Reaks has delivered the first of three albums he has promised by this year's end. This song "Mr Death is Dead" does it for me.
Lots of unknowns in this months show ... DJ Florentino, Lumpy & The Dumpers and new east London band Syd & The Dream with some oldies like Tricky, Psychic Ills and a big favorite Junior Kimborough remixed by Daft Punk.
Thanks as always for listening
