Lee Adcock - September 2016
With the swift swoop of time, the Festive 50 will be upon us faster than you can compile yr Christmas list. Have you been keeping tabs? If not, better start a ledger now, cos this month's show brims with contenders - behold, the seven-minute paean from Porridge Radio, terrifying dark entries from Bruxa Maria and Dragged Into Sunlight, acid-drenched psych rock from Bat-Bike and 11Paranoias, and the blazing streaks of light that are The Comet is Coming and Melt Yourself Down. And if that doesn't accrue enough interest for ya, then consider the deconstructed symphonies from U, or the warped neon glo of Tobacco, or the miniature Mark E. Smith in The Flexibles or the ridiculous raps from Coco and Clair Clair.
I've also dug up some tunes that aren't applicable for the Festive 50 at all, like some cool reissues from Vivien Goldman and Cherry Red, and fun tapes from last year acquired at the Athens Popfest (I'm looking at you, Gauche and Big Quiet).

Last but not least, our good pal at Audio Antihero has slipped me a wonderful session from his first Old Money signing, CHUCK. You'll wanna take that to the bank, trust me.

Mark Whitby - September 2016
Bloomin' Nora are the session guests in a September show packed with new and recent releases from the likes of Eureka Brown, Chuck, Angel Olsen and Dub Dynasty.
We also feature the first Black Dice single for four years, a timely reggae reissue from Iganda and something from the greatly anticipated new album from The Lasso. This month's featured compilation comes from the always reliable Soul Jazz label, who treat our ears to some stunning sounds from early sixties Nigeria.
There's an intoxicating cover from France's Carton Sonore, a thrilling cassette release from Sortlegeme from Denmark and something from Russia's Illocanblo, while our Peel Back... feature pays homage to a couple of vintage session gems that got their first airing forty years and twenty years ago this month, respectively.

Pete Jackson - September 2016
September brings the annual Liverpool International Festival Of Psychedelia, which always sends Pete into a spin, so expect tunes from some of this year's acts, especially from new albums by The Lucid Dream and Lorrelle Meets The Obsolete alongside timeless classics from Silver Apples and Super Furry Animals. Fear not, everything isn't psych-shaped this month, as there's drum and bass from Noisia, house from Luca Agnelli and stompin' rock n roll from Bloodshot Bill and Shannon Shaw as well as some choice cuts from a new compilation of 80s Belgian coldwave. All this and a never-before-released 60s garage cut from The Weads should do the trick.

Rocker - September 2016
This month's three hour show from Rocker features an exclusive new session from Baltimore's Expert Alterations, as well as the usual host of hot new records. In the show we attempt to deal with the German electronica mountain - in recent weeks we have accumulated so many great dance records from Germany, and so we attempt to crowbar as many as possible into the show - including tracks from Ron Flatter; Julian Stetter; Sine Sleeper; Solee; plus from other parts of the world there's an amazing remix of the current Tiga single by The Black Madonna, and a new track from London producer Lake Turner (which is nevertheless on a German label).
There's also new tracks from The Spook School; Rainbow Reservoir; Gong; Porridge Radio; Chook Race; Dirtygirl; The Blue Orchids; VAN-illa; The Fireworks; MJ Hibbett & The Validators; PWR BTTM and Chuck.
There's a new single from Massive Attack, featuring Hope Sandoval on vocals, and while we're being seriously heavy, Red Eye bring us their re-interpretation of classic track Strange Fruit, updated for current times. The Phoenix City All-stars give a Northern Soul classic a ska workout, while this month's Educating Elizabeth track is a deep soul album track from 1971, being given a much deserved vinyl reissue.
This month's Peel's Big 45 features John Peel's favourite original rock'n'roller playing a version of his classic breakthrough hit.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Although best known as a song recorded by Billie Holiday in 1939, Strange Fruit was originally written as a poem in 1937, and later set to music, by Abel Meeropol, inspired by photographs of the lynching by a mob of two black men accused of robbery and rape, in Indiana in 1930.

Sean Hocking - September 2016
In this month's Ring of Fire we have the Fat White Family breaking into Aldi, The Flipped Out Kicks being Primitive and new UK artist Michael Plater singing what should be the new UK anthem "We're All Drunk Again"
I'm also loving new London artists Erkhal and Vinny. Grime just keeps reinventing itself and it just gets better with every new generation.
Otherwise it's just the usual collection of reprobates from around the planet and me keeping zipped up on politics as I got in trouble from a listener in August for suggesting that Brexiters ... well I won't say anything else just in case!
While we are in the UK one band that I've played before and feature in this show are Brighton's Garden Centre they typify all that is great about quirky left field english pop music and I suggest you travel miles and miles to support them.
