The Beatbox Saboteurs Show - December 2018
It is the season to be jolly and this month we have a jolly chaotic show for you.
Being the month of giving and goodwill, we decided to include a whole sackful of new and unsigned acts for you to gorge on, so you'll hear Green Blanket, Acid Fader, Woeful Bat, Our Echoes Scream, Freelite, Oko & the Authority, Love Jerks, Kh3rtis, AAUL, Aunt Tabby, Swedish Death Candy, The Sun Aesthetic, Michal Towber + AR and Deaf.
It just highlights how much quality and variety is out there when you step away from the music aisles of your local supermarket.
If you would rather be in outer-space than fighting for a parking-space at this time of year, then we've covered that with some celestial electronica from Kosmischer Läufer and Truth In Space. Closer to home, thanks to some excellent releases from Elefant Records, we're strangely under the influence of Spain for a lot of the show, with tracks from Cariño, Galaxy Fingers and Neleonard. Not to be outdone, we even hear from the marvellous Spanish band, Uniforms, who recently signed to the Oso Polita label.
We cannot completely ignore Christmas, so there's a light scattering of festive tunes from the past. Enough to keep you entertained, but not so many that you feel like you've been transported back in time to vomit over the pick'n'mix in Woolworths.
Last month's session stars, Goofy18, pop back to remind us just how good they are and then we round off the soirée with our very own Life As Surface Noise track from this year's Cherryade Records 'A Very Cherry Christmas' compilation. Nothing stops the festivities quite like a Life As Surface Noise party piece!
Finally, we would like to wish you all a Merry Christmas, see you again in the new year!

Gareth Jones - December 2018
It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and my 2-hour December show promises you a bumper sackful of seasonal songs.
I help to curate the annual 'A Very Cherry Christmas' compilation CD, so there are tinsel-tastic tracks taken from the new volume 13 inlcuding Goddammit Jeremiah and Spray plus TWO brand new Christmas songs from MJ Hibbett.
This month's show also welcomes a special guest as Helen Love introduces her back-catalogue of Christmas singles, from '93's 'Happiest Time of the Year' to 2015's Band Aid-style charity single 'Townhall Band'.
There's also 3 new releases from the Snowflakes Christmas Singles Club label featuring Oh! Gunquit, Green Seagull and Rachael Dadd along with a French version of Mariah Carey's Christmas hit covered by Juniore.
All this plus two rare 60's Christmas songs and soundtrack music from the Christmas films 'Silent Night, Deadly Night' and 'Christmas On Mars'. So hey ho-ho-ho let's go!

Leo Gilbert - December 2018
Greetings of the Season and a warming welcome to my second Dandelion show. As usual for me at this time of year, I have done my stout best to avoid all thought of Christmas, instead plunging aurally into three hours of what I have found to be the most enlivening music of the past couple of months.
A huge range on offer, from the irresistible beats of 4 6 2 5, Chris Kaz, Vessel and Lotic, to something a wee bit gentler placed carefully before you by Alexis Taylor, Le Fruit Vert, Thom Yorke and Nadine Byrne.
I have also travelled the world seeking the most tempting delights from the furthest corners, bringing home Roy Montgomery, Moulay Ahmed El Hassani, Kamixlo, Ethiopian Records and Kasper Bjorke. Thom Yorke's wonderful soundtrack to Suspiria fills two slots rather stunningly, and The Field is back for a second showing after making his debut on my debut.
Aside from these highlights, we have some other highlights: Clark's new single, Frog being American, Zoee feeling Used, Charles Bradley striking out with the Inversions, Max Cooper resisting all but the most Platonic advances, the Honey Hahs doing their best to Stop Him and Biosphere offering Just One Kiss.
Lots more besides, so instead of reading about it all, why not immerse yourself in the pleasure of listening.

Mark Cunliffe - December 2018
I'm sorry people, I like Christmas for bringing family and friends together but never really do too much in the way of Christmas tunes on my show. Happy Christmas to you if you celebrate, though, of course. Despite no Christmas tunes there's lots to savour.
I'm late to the Lazertits party but if you have been liking the punk vibes of Cold Meat, Lazertits will be right up your street. Clearly Little Simz is pretty big in the game but I was very unaware of her until I heard a track recently. I liked it, hip hop with live instrumentation which is an underused format in my opinion.
There is more from Vaudou Game and Swarvy comes back for more ... in fact ... twice in the show. Lorelle Meets The Obsolete is back with a new one and we have some reggae from Oriel. We also have a very welcome return of Derby based Arsey Rob who has been stuck creatively for years when it's come to being Arsey Rob but has found his form again with a vengeance which I, for one, am very pleased about.

Mark Whitby - December 2018
In one of two shows this month, we round the year off in spectacular style with a session from Vert:x off-shoot VX and a whole load of new releases from long-established show favourites such as The Wave Pictures, The Piskie Sits, Frog, [artist}The Pocket Gods[/artist], JD Meatyard and two tracks to round off a superb year of releases, all of course showcased first on this show, from Ian Thistlethwaite.
There's little room for reflection in this end of year show, though, as we feature for the first time releases from the likes of Leon, Pavel Evtuh and Brother Blue. That said, we do have a cracking featured compilation of sixties tunes from French Caribbean territories and a Peel Back... section that selects three highlights from the Festive Fifty of thirty years ago.

Mark Whitby's Xmas Special - December 2018
My other show this month is an entirely seasonal affair, featuring new Xmas releases from, among others, BangBang LulLu, Fflwcs, DJ Antenna and The Radish Friends, plus a featured compilation in the form of the 13th in the series of A Very Cherry Christmas, courtesy of Cherryade of course.
We also play some Xmas tunes that arrived too late to feature in my show last year, some Christmas crackers from yesteryear that get played far too rarely at this time of year (Harry Secombe rather engagingly rubs shoulders with Tender Trap) and a Peel Back... retrospective of tunes that featured in John Peel's Christmas Eve special of 1992.
And listen out for how you can grab a copy of a very special Xmas gift from two of our favourite artists ...

Pete Jackson - December 2018
This month, Pete turns 50 - see if you can guess what Fall song opens the show?
Alongside a fantastic new session from Warped Freqs and great new releases from Khruangbin, Ty Segal, The Limiñanas and Burn The TV (featuring the ever-awesome Lord Numb), there's also a spot of self indulgence, including a track played at the first gig Pete ever attended (at Bradford St George's Hall in January 1986, if that helps your guess) and tracks from four albums also unleashed into the world in 1968.

Rocker - December 2018
A two hour show this month, no sessions, but loads of new music, including tracks from The Perfect English Weather; Chorusgirl; Jonathan Richman; Poppycock; Arrest! Charlie Tipper; Comet Gain; Fightmilk; Blue Orchids; Helen McCookerybook; The Speedways; Jetstream Pony; Exedra; JD Meatyard and Neurotic Fiction.
The Chatham Forts take on The Rolling Stones, while their singer is the subject of a tribute by The Total Rejection. Phoenix All-Stars take on The Clash, while The Hot 8 Brass Band take on Joy Division.
There's also electronica from Erol Alkan; Agoria feat. Phoebe Killdeer and Icarus feat. Real Lies. G00se disses Firstbus, while Drillminister and three more give their takes on the shitshow that is Brexit.
This month's Educating Elizabeth spin came out on an LA label in 1967; while this month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is from a 1945 5-disc box set.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: The Servicemen actually were servicemen - comprising four US airmen and one GI, they formed in 1966 at Luke Airforce Base, Arizona.

Sean Hocking - December 2018
Highlights for this show for me include Swedish outfit Skftande Enheter who are so good we've given them a three in a row spot. We've also got new ones from Londoners Deficit & Meatraffle.
Portland's Lithics have kept us engaged with their Excuse Generator track all year. Good to hear a new one from Ezra Furman and sorry to say I'm a sucker for Lana Del Ray and her latest, a 10 minute opus, Venice Bitch tells me it'll be a while yet before I get bored of her Julie London gone bad aesthetic!
Another artist I'm becoming ever more interested in is Londoner, King Krule. Excuse the pun but he always seems cruelly ignored except by his fans, his almost out of time draws us back with every new release.
We've also got new releases from Kil Sun Moon, White Fang and Pip Blom who we readily admit we are a bit behind the eightball on. New acts that have caught the ear of Ring of Fire this month include Jackson Politick, Fatty Cakes & the Puff Pastries, Justis Proffit & Jay Som and of course Shit & Shine.
Thanks for listening this and I'm already planning January's show for your listening pleasure.

Sean Hocking's Indulgent Christmas Show - December 2018
Christmas is the time, as we all know to be merry, argue with the rellies and eat way too much but most importantly it's a time to be self indulgent and wallow in a bit of nostalgia for great imagined times of the past.
I've taken a cue from Peel favourites Half Man Half Biscuit and have put together a 4 hour bonanza that may well "irk the purists" from time to time.
I won't give away the tracks that may make some of your groan when you hear those first few bars but will make you smile after but suffice to say we feature Ten Benson up against Death Grips and Wings. Not forgetting PP Arnold, Jonathan Richman, William Shatner covering the Cramps, The Basement 5, Patrick Cowley & Ramones and a host of others.
There must be something in there for you!

Thomas Blatchford - December 2018
It's December and therefore time for us to collectively do the "bras d'honneur" at 2018 as it tumbles off the cosmic conveyor belt into oblivion, what's your soundtrack going to be? In an unprecedented three-hour show, Thomas picks out some of the best stuff from the past year including Noname, Madboots, Black Rock Band, Screaming Females, Alice Skye etc. etc. plus new audio baubles from Sports Bra, Hexdebt, DJ Lag + Epic B, Bitch Diesel, Johnson Jeduthun and more.
The final hour of this month's show is a tribute to one of Dandelion Radio's greatest champions, Bob Beckett, who recently passed away. Bob used to compile his own "festive fifties" at the end of each year for his own amusement, even before an annual chart was broadcast on BBC Radio 1 by John Peel. Dandelion's own Andrew Morrison was in regular contact with Bob, and kindly shared many of these lists (dated between 1988-2015) with the rest of the station's DJs shortly after Bob's funeral. Thomas has selected an hour's worth of hits from this 1,400-strong list of Bob's favourites in his memory.

Trev - December 2018
Christmas! Christmas! Christmas! That's right my show is a certified CHRISTMAS FREE zone!
Whilst there maybe a lack of mistletoe and mince pies in the show, what isn't missing is a show packed full of exciting new music. I am playing new tunes from Marked Men, Nun, Just Blankets, The Ice Creams, HB, Jammz, Fatty Cakes and the Puff Pastries and one of my discoveries of the year in a tune from the début LP from Flo & Spicey - turn the radio UP and prepare to be blown anyway!
Elsewhere there are couple of songs from new releases on Chinabot (Sabiwa and Lafidki) and some lo-fi indiepop from Indonesia from the Supercrush Label (Yawyaw and Vulture On Rails) and Kev Hopper (once of Stump) resurface with a new record 'Corbyn Skeptic Club' and it's an absolute corker and I feature 'Slumptubber' from it.
All in all another exciting month of musical discovery to share with you. I hope you enjoy the show as much as I did pulling it all together.
