Brownbutter - February 2021
Brownbutter investigates the (possibly fake) month of February on Dandelion Radio. There are some wonderful new artists on the show like Pom Poko and Ghost Power, new music from Viagra Boys and USA Nails and dramatic returns after many years from Insides and Kruder & Dorfmeister, so dim the lights, put on your special underwear, pour the both of us a drink and let's get Gilligan for a three hour tour.

Gareth Jones - February 2021
Gareth returns for another 2 hours of essential lockdown listening. He'll be joined (socially distanced, of course!) by singer-songwriter Pete Drake. Pete reached no.2 in 2020's Festive 50 chart with his single "All The Bands My Mates Can't Stand". He's now released an 18-track CD containing songs written by him but performed by other artists called 'The Pete Drake Project (Vol.1)', and Pete will be introducing three tracks from it.
Gareth also tries to keep the peace in Europe with new releases from France courtesy of GloriaHidden People and Le Grand Sbam, plus two bands from Spain with Elefant Records signings Axolotes Mexicanos and Aiko El Grupo.
'Secret Songs from the Sixties' brings you two Bubblegum Pop cuts from a new digital compilation on the Classic Trash label called "F**kin’ B: More Bubblegum Motherf**ker Favorites 1968 – 1973".
Plus February is the month when love is in the air, so Spizzenergi provide a cover version of David Bowie's 2013 song 'Valentine's Day'.

Leo Gilbert - February 2021
Four scintillating hours from Leo filled with 52 tunes to swoon to in the romantic month of February, a mixture of the greatest from the last couple of months and a hint of a belated best of 2020 retrospective thrown in for good measure.
Once again, Leo has an incredibly international show, with tunes from (among other places) Australia, Mexico, Germany, France, Brazil, Colombia, Sudan, Norway, South Africa, Uganda, Ghana, Egypt, Ireland and Mauritius!
Among the artists are: Ti L'Afrique, La Femme, Soulwax, For Those I Love, Alex Maas, A Lily & Lisel, Fat Frog, Laura Cannell & Kate Ellis, Andrew McCubbin, Dijit, Amaarae, Swordman Kitala & Tom Blip, Cruel Boyz and Pom Poko.
He also has (what felt like a bit of a scoop at the time of recording) the new singles from Blanck Mass and Mogwai.
Tune in to Leo's February show and feel your heart beat just that little bit faster!

Mark Cunliffe - February 2021
We are getting into 2021 a little bit now and while the nations around the world are trying to vaccinate as much as possible to try to find an avenue out of all this, we are still getting on with all things music here at Dandelion Radio.
Doing this is really providing an outlet for me, as it always has, and if any of you enjoy it then that's a proper bonus.
So, reggae artist Raging Fyah is on fire with one of his tracks and Oliver Sudden needs to find a nurse to syringe his ears. The Burning Hell has got extremely unlucky while Michael Mayer might have been pictured at the Capitol riots with a lectern?
Sleaford Mods have cancelled their Amazon Reviewing Account and LHB has brought an incinerator. It It Anita are clearly not male, as they are consulting the instructions and I've not done a synopsis like this for some years now and am not really sure why I fell back into it for this month?
If you do listen in, thank you very much.

Mark Whitby - February 2021
2021 has spent little time getting into its stride in terms of music if little else. This month we feature new releases by the likes of James Yorkston, Yip Man and Blanck Mass along with previews of forthcoming albums from Mogwai, Cathal Coughlan and Anonymous Bosch, among others.
There's a featured compilation of electronic post-punk courtesy of Soul Jazz, plus a glimpse of a future Thomas Imposter compilation from Iraqis In Pajamas. We also feature cracking reissues from Ngozi Family and Smokey Hogg, while our Peel Back... features takes us back to the John Peel shows of February 1981, 1991 and 2001.

Mark Whitby on FSK - February 2021
Join Mark as he takes us through another two hours of his favourite new music, with brief glances at reissued gems from the past and a general focus on the interesting, the odd and the unfairly overlooked.
Pete Jackson - February 2021
If we told you that Pete's show this month began with a tune actually used in a 70s porn film, would that set the bar high or low for the rest of the show?
Either way, once you get past the opening extract from an ace new collection of library music from Buried Treasure, you'll find further exotic sounds from the likes of Here Lies Man, The Telescopes, Dead Skeletons, Yard Act and Dusty Mush, alongside a brilliant new session (his first for this show) from Dandelion favourite Sir Robert Orange Peel.
In addition, we'll offer you Midnight Snaxxx, political analysis from REVBJELDE, some reissued gems from Mudhoney and Wayne County, some 70s Thai Luk Thung, 40s US gospel and 21st Century Ugandan drumming.

Rocker - February 2021
Three hours from Rocker this month, including tracks from a featured album - the new garage compilation from Raving Pop Blast! Records - 'Strange Creatures (The Best Of Rebels Volume Two).
There's also new stuff from American Culture; Billy Nomates; Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio; The Dirtiest; Dropkick; Femi Kuti; The Boys With The Perpetual Nervousness; Daydream; Don't Worry; Cub Scout Bowling Pins; Dummy; Pop Filter; Randolph's Leap; Model Village; Lisa Bouvier; The Mudd Club; All Ashore!; Modern Cynics; Milky Wimpshake; The Bongolian and Sissy Space Echo & The Invisible Collaborators.
There's electronica from Orlando Voorn; 8Kays; Thyladomid; Carsten Halm remixed by Marc Erberich plus Gaudi remixes The Orb.
Antlered Auntlord take on Daniel Johnston and Mikaela Davis & Mary Lou Lord cover Elliott Smith. Spizzenergi does David Bowie; while Tom Jones takes on a Todd Snider song.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: The Mudd Club was one of the great punk & no wave venues. Situated in Lower Manhattan it opened in 1978 and closed down in 1983. It gets a namecheck in the Ramones' 'The Return Of Jackie & Judy".

Sean Hocking - February 2021
This month on Ring of Fire it's another 4 hours of new music and some of the nuggets that missed out on being in our 2020 shows.
We've got politics from Occult Character who is turning into the best folk punk news service out there. His "Half-Wits & Cultists" written a year before it all came true on 6 January 2021. Then to Russia for Mush and their track on Putin's nemesis, the very brave Mr Litvinenko.
We're also loving Irish band Post Punk Podge & The Technohippies who have been around for a little while but are sounding very fresh with their dry humour and certainly another take on the Dublin experience from the somwhat dour and serious Fontaines D.C..
From the US Dr. Pete Larson And His Cytotoxic Nyatiti Band come highly recommended. Where Vampire Weekend hooked in with highlife and lighter west african rhythms Larson and his band, out of Michigan, tap into the new sounds coming out of the DRC, Kenya & Tanzania with the added bonus that Larson actually lived in East Africa for a while so pale pastiche, it isn't.
From the UK we are really enjoying the Isle of Wight's Plastic Mermaids and London indie hip hop Elian Gray.
Ever wondered what the Beatles would sound like if AI was let loose on their catalogue? ... well, wonder no more.
As always there's a little bit of re-discovering the past. This month it's very early 1970s Australian rock as we move from the 1960s into the 70s with Little Stevie, The Masters Aprrentices and Daddy Cool + a blast from the mighty Wolfmother too.
As always lots more too. Take a listen and thanks for tuning into Dandelion Radio.

Thomas Blatchford - February 2021
The Thomas show in February is a special edition featuring a live exclusive session from self-described "punk jazz noise spoken word trio" Luke You and the Zine Mistakes. Luke You is based in Melbourne and makes a free zine called ‘You', with a new issue coming out every week since November 2001. This month will therefore see the one thousandth(!) edition, and indeed this session is the official launch of YOU #1000. Luke is on sax and vox here alongside Jon S. Williams on guitar and David Craven on drums, who also moonlight as the duo City Of Cool.
But that's not all! The show also pays tribute to the recently departed MF DOOM (all caps when you spell the man name), celebrates twenty years of the only album by Life Without Buildings, applauds the return of the original and best version of ‘Hey Moon', and finds out what Monica Brooks has been up to in lockdown. Plus new singles from Giant Swan, Hexrr, The Magpie Swoop, Smino, Barkaa, Nilotika Cultural Ensemble and a shedload more.
