Gareth Jones - July 2021
Gareth's July show kicks off in a football frenzy with new Welsh footie anthems from John MOuse and Helen Love. And Helen's keyboard player also has a new single out with his synth-pop duo Spray.
This month's 'Secret Songs from the Sixties' features two cuts from the record collection of The Cramps, taken from the latest double CD compilation on the Righteous label called 'Wild Sounds From An Overheated Jukebox - Lux And Ivy Dig Those 45s'.
The second hour of the show features guest Mark Christopher Lee of The Pocket Gods who will be introducing four songs of his choice in the feature 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue', plus two tracks from the current Pocket Gods compilation album 'Tin Foil Hat Champion -The Best Of Vol.2'.
And there's a surprise end of the show from Boris!

Leo Gilbert - July 2021
Leo has put together another four-hour extravaganza for July, largely selecting the best of the new releases from April, May and June, along with a few that have not been released yet and one or two oldies.
Great new music from some of his absolute favourites, such as Aldous Harding, Oneohtrix Point Never, IDLES, SUUNS, Burial and Sharon van Etten (not recording together, though that would be an interesting combination).
Also making onto the show are tunes from artists who are new to Leo, like Dntel, Marino Canal, Koreless, Romanowitch (self-described as "music to bash your face in with a brick to"), Qlowski, TEKE::TEKE (named after a vengeful Japanese spirit with only a torso who drags herself around on her fingernails, thus making a "teke, teke" sound), Bruno Bavota and Les Chouettes, who provide our essential five-a-day French idioms, including "c'est poche" ("it's crappy"). Fighting talk, Leo thinks.

Mark Cunliffe - July 2021
Hope you are all doing ok out there. The flow of music never stops and for that we are grateful.
The excellent Onipa has a new track out and I'm playing another from Sura Susso's first album release in the longest time.
Mereba is continuing her rich vein of fab releases and Yamil has created a brilliant remix of Adrian Alegria.
Jawbone is carrying on his resurgence with aplomb and favourites Haiku Salut are back with a new album in the coming months of which I play a track from.
Also, please look out for a stunningly powerful new song that is a throwback to a different age but is totally relevant to the issues of our time. I'll say no more about it here but do check it out if you can.

Two hours from Rocker this month, including new tracks from Blue Orchids; Boyracer; Sister John; Extras; Drinking Boys And Girls Choir; Hurry; Bachelor; Fresh; Neighborhood Brats; The Catenary Wires; Lonely Tourist; The Wind-Ups; Urges and Hearts Apart.
There's electronica from Darkskye; Audiobooks; Michael Mayer; and 8Kays feat. Cari Golden.
Stewart Lee takes on The Nightingales, and Laura Cantrell gives us her take on Angry White Men. This month there's even more new releases from the great Happy People Records.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is from 1939, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a brand new 7" on the great Colemine label.
As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: After his recording career in the 1960s, Dean Parrish reverted to his real name, Philip Anastasi, and became an actor, appearing in films and TV shows, including a 2006 episode of The Sopranos.

Sean Hocking - July 2021
Welcome back to another 4 hours of Ring of Fire for July. I'm really enjoying some new UK releases at the moment. Rough Trade record stores have alerted me to London duo Ozteki who's latest album sounds like the perfect marriage bwtween rave culture, Hot Chip & Radiohead ... count me in.
Also thanks to the Monolith Cocktail blog for making me aware of Rezo a virtual collaboration between Irish musicians Colm O'Connell and Rory McDaid (based in Spain). Their bandcamp page says, "While they have played music together over the years, this project was largely borne out of the Corona virus pandemic. Using internet technology to bridge the social and physical divide, the pair have in Travalog produced a collection of tunes about a time when travel was possible." It's a beautifully realised album of the old school and deserves to be on everyone's playlist.
Other new releases from The Bordellos, Occult Character, Acid Dad, Micromoon and too many more to mention.
For the first time on the show we have something from Nick Cave, off his new album (yes we have featured Grinderman in the past .. but too many moons ago to remember) and the Pistols!
More oldies from Reperata & the Delrons, Terry Noland & Buck Owens! amongst others.
The IDLES cover the Gang of Four, Cutters shout/sing about Australian War Crimes and Stephen Evans "Hates Shop".
Hope you enjoy the show

Thomas Blatchford - July 2021
Having just gone through another "circuit-breaker" lockdown in Melbourne, meaning more days to languish at home trawling Bandcamp, this month's edition of "It's Thomas Time" is a bumper three hours in length, meaning 40+ bangers and enough time to read out the twenty(!) guest vocalists on the latest Umru single.
As well as tasters from new and upcoming records by Eat-Man, Jalang, Ov Pain, Jana Rush and Death Is Not The End, there's also a heady reminder of that time when a volcano went off in Iceland - ah, those were the days - thanks to People Like Us, and a couple of live recordings from the local music scene, when it was still ok to go ahead.
Also Ace of Base interpreted by robots, or something. Welcome back, my friends!
