Andrew Morrison - July 2022
Andy's two-hour July show pays belated respects to four artists that passed away in late May and early June, with two tracks from the seminal Vangelis 'Blade Runner' soundtrack bookending the show, and a haunting Elvis cover from Julee Cruise. In honour of Andy Fletcher, there's two songs from different eras of Depeche Mode. Plus, Cathal Coughlan will feature prominently, with four selections from The Fatima Mantions - one of Andy's favourite bands - and two tracks from this year's brilliant 'a hAon' album by Telefís (an inspired collaboration between Coughlan and ubiquitous producer and remixer Jacknife Lee). Also featured in this packed two-hour show is new music including ARXX, Keeley, Klubber Lang, Pye Corner Audio, West Wickhams, Raz & Afla, Vacuum Spasm Babies, Birds In The Brickwork, Prisma, and a potential track of the year from Seagoth.

Brownbutter - July 2022
Brownbutter gets heady while Yoo Doo Right kicks off a 4-hour show for July.
Chicago's Horsegirl continue to astonish, as do Brighton's mesmerizing Porridge Radio, South African Spiritual Jazzman Nduduzo Makhathini, and a sugar slipping Leon Vynehall with his sweetest work since Rojus.
All that plus Avalanche Kaito, RXKNephew, Ghostkeeper, a new band called Silver Biplanes featuring Tim Vass of the Razorcuts (a Brownbutter favorite) and his wife Vanessa of the Melons, classic cuts by Amon Duul II, Beatnik Filmstars, and R.E.M., plus Ruth Copeland setting the world aflame with her funky take on a Stones' classic.
Hot diggety, delivered straight to your ears.

Calum Carlyle - July 2022
Summer is well and truly upon us again, and this month's show is full of new releases from Summer 2022 from the out of control pop music of Jim E. Smith to the smooth sounds of Dan Whitehouse.
Most of this month's show is recently released, but there are also a couple of golden oldies as well, from Dutch artist John the Revalator and Lebanese Oud player Rabih Abou-Khalil so as usual, there's something for everyone, from off the beaten track.

David Smith - July 2022
New Zealand has 5 million people, 26 million sheep, and 32 million great songs. You will hear plenty of proof of that (the songs, not the people or the sheep) in this month's show.
We have lots of new music, including great stuff from Memory Foam, Spread Joy, Malflora, Quinquis, P.H.F., The Umbrellas, Crna Žuč, Anteloper, and JakoJako. We also have a great new song by Fanfare Ciocarlia remixed by Dunkelbunt and a track from an amazing 3 lp reissue set of Laddio Bolocko.
Enjoy the show!

Gareth Jones - July 2022
Gareth's July show brings you sunshine. Not from Morecambe & Wise, but via Helen Love, plus two sunshine-themed songs in the regular feature 'Secret Songs from the Sixties' taken from the recent 3CD box set 'Heroes and Villains - The Sound Of Los Angeles 1965-68', released on the Grapefruit label via Cherry Red.
There's also Japanese fun from Hazy Sour Cherry and Otoboke Beaver plus a surf guitar cover of a Kraftwerk classic courtesy of The Routes.
The 2nd hour includes guest presenter singer-songwriter Pete Drake, who was previously voted at number 2 on the Festive 50 in 2020. He'll be selecting his song choices for 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue', plus introducing his new double A side football single 'The Beautiful Game' / 'Left Foot Right Foot Header', released to coincide with the UEFA Women's Euro 2022.

A huge 51 tunes – all of unbeatable zing – in Leo's July show. He has scoured the globe for the very best in music of the past couple of months (along with a few choice picks from 2021) to give his dear listeners another aural wrangling.
How do these names strike you? Adela Mede, Christoph de Babalon, Mieko Shimizu, Phelimuncasi, Galya Bisengalieva, Just Mustard and Katie Kim. New to you?
Or these duos: Lala Lala & Sen Morimoto, Maral & Lara Sarkissian, Auntie Flo and Sarathy Korwar and Figueroa & Amon Tobin.
Admit it: you can't wait to hear them. No need to wait, just climb aboard the Leo show, playing throughout July.

Mark Whitby - July 2022
Yet more extraordinary releases continue to pour in and, as usual, we do our best to fit as many of them in as possible. This month, that means something from hugely anticipated albums from Dez Dare, Horsegirl and St Cyrus, among other things, but plus excellent new singles from Agent Starling, Silver Biplanes and The Orchids.
Our featured compilation this month comes from the fabulous Take It Acid Is label, whose incredible output I've been neglecting of late, featuring a bunch of sex-themed songs from before the second world war; there's also some reissued Prince Far I and, as usual, three gems lifted from the session archives in our Peel Back... section.
Add in a heavily countrified Angel Olsen release and something else from a Porridge Radio album that (I'm claiming anyway) is every better than their celebrated debut, and I reckon we've got enough to take away anyone's summertime blues ...

Rocker - July 2022
Two hours from Rocker this month, with new tracks from Crabber; The Boys With Perpetual Nervousness; Petrol Girls; The Wedding Present; Red Light; The Umbrellas; Julian Cope; Pama International; Fresh; Blue Orchids; The Crawling Eye and Cosmit.
Martha take on Allo Darlin', while The Yellow Melodies cover The Ramones. Arrest! Charlie Tipper do The Only Ones, and The William Loveday Intention come up with version of a track originally recorded by The Musicians Of The British Empire - so yes, that's Billy Childish covering Billy Childish.
There's electronica from INIT; Patrick Chadronnet and Kiko & Popof remixed by Yulia Niko.
This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a 1932 recording from the king of country, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a brand new release from The Harlem Gospel Travelers.

Sean Hocking - July 2022
Welcome back to my latest show. As I say in my intro I have decided to put the "Ring of Fire" moniker to bed after nigh on a decade. When I started the show I was based in Hong Kong and almost exclusively featuring new music from the Asia Pacific / Ring of Fire region but as time has moved on the show has increasingly included music from all parts of the globe so I think it is probably time to merge the show into the approach of my weekly podcast "Bottom of the Pops".
You still get to hear a show made exclusively for Dandelion and the lion's share of each show will continue to be the newest and most interesting recent releases I can find. If you want to hear bottom of the pops on a more regular basis it can be found on Spotify. Enough of all that and onto the music.
This month we have new releases by The Viagra Boys. Their latest album is, I think, my favourite of theirs so far. Ahead of a new Legless Crabs album we've got the new single "I (Wanna Be) A Cult Musician".
We are also enjoying new UK bands TV Priest, Deadletter and Eagle Spits & Rich Gulag.
There's some fantastic new hip hop around and one of my favourites of the genre this year are Floridan duo, They Hate Change, who are very much influenced by UK electronics and dancefloor culture of the last 30 odd years. Their new album comes highly recommended and I see that they just played a special set at Rough Trade East so it looks like they are on quite a few people's radar at the moment.
Lots of other great new releases but you'll have to listen to the show to find out who where what.
