| Pete Jackson - August 2021 August's two-hour extravaganza features a bunch of acts new to the show, including Glass Beams, Infintie Kamikazee, Louis And The Shakes and a three-way competition for wackiest name between Psychedelic Digestion Therapy, Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange and Warrington-Runcorn New Town Development Plan. There's some more familiar names too, including new tunes from Goat, Mungo's Hi-Fi, Richard Norris, Blinker & Moses and Jason Beers, two so-unlikely-I-might-have dreamt-them collaborations between Matt Berry and Moon Duo and The Lovely Eggs and Iggy Pop, and a few cheeky re-issues from The Fall, Sun Ra and Captain Beefheart. | ||||

| Rocker - August 2021 A one hour show from Rocker this month, including new tracks from The Great Leap Forward; Swansea Sound; Low; The Science Of Words; Hurry; Adam Gibbons; Supermilk; Bachelor and Motorists. There's electronica from Teho, plus a couple of excellent releases on Happy People Records, from The Co-operators and Melbourne Douglas. This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is from 1936, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a brand new gospel soul spin. As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: The UK's national poo museum is located in Sandown, on The Isle Of Wight | ||||
| Sean Hocking - August 2021 Yes it's 4 hours again as there's nothing to do in Sydney as we are fully confined indoors again so you're all lucky you didn't get a 6 hour show! The slew of new music out of the UK isn't slowing down and our earworm of the year goes to Wet Leg and their cleverly catchy, Chaise Longue which has been garnering play after play here at Ring of Fire central. Out of the UK we're also loving the new album from Koreless as well as the likes of Baba Ali, The Kessler Cascade, Berwyn, Chamyun and Tot Taylor, just to name a few. From the metal postcard stable we have pre-release tracks from Chichester's BOYA and York's Salem Trials and of course The Legless Crabs. All 3 have albums out later this year. From the US we've got new releases by the Felice Brothers, Babydoll Stiltz, Bendigo Fletcher as well as things we hadn't before like DM Bob & The Deficits and Merle Hazard who entertains us with a tune about atonal music in Nashville style. Shortest song in the show comes from the Beatnik Termites and the longest from San Francisco's Cole Odin. Then there's things like a Del Shannon re-edit by French wizard Pilooski, Kurt Vile covering the Velvets and Howe Gelb just shy of Bumfuck as well a trip around London c/- Kilburn & the High Roads Thanks for listening | ||||

| Thomas Blatchford - August 2021 The Thomas show in August is dedicated to Dave from Datblygu, who died a few weeks ago, and kicks off with two renditions of arguably his most beautiful work. The past also visits in a handful of vinyl reissues from The Knife, Venetian Snares and Tommy McCook & The Supersonics, but as usual it's mostly the recent and excellent from the likes of English Teacher, The Vovos, The Bug, Barkaa, DJ Haram, Pillow Pro and other new notables. One artist is named after a flamethrower, one song is about 'the C word' and there's also an ironically quite lengthy discussion about attention spans. | ||||
