Jeff and Alfie - February 2022 The Grainger boys pop in for an hour with their 1st show of 2022. Some fine Dandelion Radio debuts in the shape of Honeybadgers and Rosy MacKinnon. There is a whole bunch of lovely current and new releases; English Teacher, Papé Nziengui, Opus Kink, Caroline, M(h)oal and Black Country, New Road. There have, alas, been a few notable passings recently. So, we take time out to remember the great Ronnie Spector and Rachel Nagy of the Detroit Cobras.

Leo Gilbert - February 2022 Leo's four February hours are filled with fabulous refrains from forty-plus forgers of the finest fare. On top of the usual up-to-the-minute releases (this month from people such as Shamir, Gabriels, EERA, Jeffrey Lewis, Low Altitude, Mario Batcovic, Kim Gordon & J Mascis, Let's Eat Grandma, Claire Rousay & More Eaze and The Smile), he has the pick of the toppest of top tunes from 2021, from the likes of Lucy Dacus, Brogan Bentley, Bullant, Famous, The Armed, Ed Dowie, The Catenary Wires, Bendik Giske and Allesandro Baris. Special mention must also go to Burial, whose new album Leo would have happily played in its entirety (but has rationed himself to a mere single track). He also, somehow, has eleven songs in fifteen seconds. This is a show that is essential listening from very beginning to the absolute end.

Sean Hocking - February 2022 February has arrived and already there's a slew of new tunes appearing not just on the horizon but right here right now. It's already beginning to look as though 2021 was a very productive year for writers and I think all us music lovers out here are going to benefit if not drown in fantastic new music. Yard Act from Leeds who were a favourite with most of us at Dandelion last year have released their debut album and the mainstream media and music media seem to love their sharp spiky debut (we do too) so we've included a track off the album. We've got new ones from the Metal Postcard stable, The Tyrds (Portland) project of former White Fang guitarist Kyle Handley. As always I'm biased but it is some of the best bedroom punk I've heard in a long long time, drawing on the Ramones, Richman and others of that ilk. Even better I suspect most of the songs are written about a former band member, always something that adds a bit of frisson. We've also got advance airings from new albums from MP artists, The Legless Trials, The Conspiracy & Brian Bordello. Discoveries this month of acts from the fairly recent past include US Country singer Paul Cauthen who pens ditties such as "Country Cocaine Dancing" & "Country As Fuck". From the UK in 2014, somebody we missed out on at the time, Woodpecker Wooliams, amazing, actually double amazing. Regular listeners know I'm a bit fond of the Pachanga Boys and I dug around their albums and solo outings and found out that they are a bit more than Burning Man fodder, actually they've invented quite a bizarre little world and I've enjoyed visiting it. Also a song about getting Rabies, Link Wray, Leadbelly and new UK duo Cassells.
