As usual there are songs from far flung places such as DR Congo (Kanda Bongo Man), Japan (Kikagaku Moyo), California (Mark Rodney) and Brooklyn (Diiv) as well as many other delights, including old and new tracks from sunny Scotland (Ur.Frnd, Ali Sha Sha and Khaya). | David Smith - October 2022 Sea Moss has a new album coming out later this year, and I am confident that even with just one song in prerelease this album will be one of my favorite records of the year. The new album by Fret already is one of my favorites of the year so far. Wow. I have lots of new stuff, including tracks from Hooveriii, The Prize, Lykho, Reuben Hudson, Faience Knife, Nürnberg, Loobs, Closure, and Datasal. We also have a new volume of live in studio sessions from KEXP, and an upcoming album from Hammered Hulls. Maybe next year I will do a theme show, but I did include Lou Reed singing about Halloween (sort of) and Sea Moss singing about candy, so at least the basics are covered. Enjoy the show! | ||||

| Rocker - October 2022 A two hour show this month, including new tracks from MJ Hibbett; European Sun; Live, Do Nothing; Jeanines; The WaterStriders; The Black Angels; Lande Hekt; The Boys With Perpetual Nervousness; Martha; Nervous Twitch; Mousefolk; Let's Whisper; Field School; Neutrals and Ardillas. As we mark 18 years since the sudden passing of John Peel, his enduring legacy to music continues. This month's show features a bunch of new tracks from artists who have previously contributed to John Peel sessions - The Wedding Present; The Nightingales; Helen McCookerybook (as The Chefs; Helen & The Horns); David Lance Callahan (as The Wolfhounds; Moonshake); JD Meatyard (as Levellers 5; Calvin Party); Karen (as The Brilliant Corners; Experimental Pop Band; The Heads); Useless Users (as Even As We Speak; and Arrest! Charlie Tipper (As Beatnik Filmstars; The Flatmates). Apologies to anyone I've missed! There's also electronica from Booka Shade; Sonikku; and an amazing new reworking of a 1993 techno classic by Metal Master. This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is a 1957 release out of Memphis, Tennessee, which features the king of Rockabilly in country mood, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a current release on the Daptone record label. As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Paul McCartney once said "If there were no Carl Perkins, there would be no Beatles." | ||||

| Sean Hocking - October 2022 I'm back with another 2 hours of Bottom of the Pops on Dandelion. First up a newbie on Metal Postcard records for those of you in a love/hate relationship with Jime, the west is the best Morrison. Gauche & Gaudy mash up the doors with a few extra comments thrown in from other voices you may or may not recognize. The Black Lips have a new album on the way and that always makes me happy, I'm hoping the rest of the album sounds as good as lead single, No Rave. The new music that I'm really excited about this month is what's coming out of Lagos and reportedly recorded in the main in Fela Kuti's old studios. If you like the Gqom sound out of Durban and releases on on Uganda's Ngeye Ngeye label you'll love the likes of DJ YK Mule, simple, fun and slightly bonkers. I love it and can't waity to find you more new producers from Lagos. Also this month we've got a new album from The Bordellos, London's Coby Sey releases his debut, Ezra Furman, The Gentle Sinners (Aiden Moffat) and San Francisco outfit Orchestra Gold. All of this and plenty more. Thanks for listening | ||||

| Trev - October 2022 I have appeared from under the rock from where I've been hiding for the last 2 and a bit years. Sadly it was hearing the news of Steven Smith's (of the bands Scul Hazzards, If So Why and Leaching) untimely passing got me back in the Dandelion Radio saddle. I came across Steven when I was promoting shows in London under the 'Dead Billy' moniker as I put on his then recently relocated band (from Australia) in Kilburn in London in 2009 or 2010. They were brilliant. We kept tabs on each other on Facebook thereafter (as is the modern way) and it was via Facebook I learnt that Steven had died, suddenly in September. So the show was cobbled together in a way of tribute with songs from his bands Scul Hazzards, If So Why and Leaching. A couple of tunes from artists that he produced or engineered their recordings, Fire By The River and Slow Down. And I did find room for 3 songs from other acts - so that's tunes from former Odd Box alumni David Lance Callahan, Dragon Welding (both solo projects from members of The Wolfhounds) and a cracking new song from the forthcoming third LP from The Humms. Rest easy, Steven. | ||||
