Sean Hocking - September 2024 It's another 4 hours of Bottom of the Pops on Dandelion Radio. Will you make it the whole way through? I certainly hope so. A real treat to start the show for you this month, a new one from Ten Benson. Easily one of my favourite bands of all time. They rock, they've got humour in spades, a social conscience and they never have the desire to shout about themselves. They are nigh on the perfect band. Listen to the lyrics of this release, their first for aeons, which suddenly appeared mid riot season. I wonder who they could be talking about. I must have played it over 100 times already. Also another great new Jamie XX tune, this time in partnership with the Avalanches - bliss. New releases from Silas J Dirge, The Citric Dummies, The Fcukers (on my weekly one hour show this release is getting a lot of positive feedback from people), London's Tokyo Riddim Band, Japan's Do Do Do's, Sydney's Party Dozen and the list goes on. In July Metal Postcard records released its 500th release, the ever productive Neon Kittens, who else? An excuse for me delve into a small part of the back catalogue to play you some old favourites. Here's to the next 500. Also Gil Scott-Heron, Chris & Cosey, The Chills (RIP) and Captain Beefheart. Enjoy the show and thankyou for listening.

X-Ray Moon - September 2024 As always, Moon provides us with an eclectic mix of a few older releases with some hot-off-the waxing new tracks. We have a couple of sunny summer moments with The Stranglers and The Waterboys. We are introduced to an intriguing track by Sunset Rubdown with a second release from their first new album in fifteen years. As well as all of this there is an anomalous-sounding track by Section 25, and a new version of an old track by Tom Waits; and extraordinarily excitingly there is a new release by the superbly strange and conceptually naughty The Residents. Happy September. X-Ray Moon hopes everyone enjoys his show.
