Green Man Special - November 2024 For the past 18 years, Mark Whitby has spent a few days at the end of August attending the Green Man festival in Wales. This year, for the first time, he was joined by his great mate Leo. They both enjoyed the experience so much that they decided to make a special two-hour show to enable them to share and relive some of the festival's highlights, each selecting a track by the artists whose performances they particularly rated. Among others, Mark selected tunes by Opus Kink, Porridge Radio, Metz and The Nightingales, while Leo went for Jon Hopkins, Moonchild Sanelly, Sleaford Mods and Kokoko!, plus a few more. They both heartily agreed that the highlight of the whole four days was a blistering set by Fat White Family. Leo and Mark hope you get as much of a kick out of listening to their Green Man Special they did in putting it all together.

David Smith - November 2024 Greetings! My show begins with a tiny tribute to our very own Mark Cunliffe, who has brought so many great artists to our attention (including Cyclic Freeload Unit for me way back in 2011, which is one of my best Dandelion memories). What else? How about a ton of new and semi-new stuff from Ekko Astral, L'étrangleuse, Aluminum, Cloud Nothings, Chikiss, Meridian Brothers, Les Salvatges, Reymour, Dame Area, Chafouin, Tacoblaster, Neva Dinova, Serpent, 1753, Boris, Błoto, Audinjee, O'o, and Meltem. Mark Whitby - November 2024 In the month of Festive Fifty voting, we feature several artists who've appeared in the chart during the Dandelion years, including new albums from Goat, Honeyglaze, Public Service Broadcasting, Hinds and Godspeed You! Black Emperor. There's also what's become our traditional November look back at tracks from the Festive Fifty of forty years ago in our Peel Back... feature. But of course it's not all about those acts long gathered into the Dandelion collective bosom. Relatively new discoveries also make an appearance, including Baby Schilaci, The Eurosuite, Chamberlain and Dog Unit. This year's featured compilation comes from the Jasmine label and there's more from their recently issued retrospective of the fabulous Dolly Cooper.

Rocker - November 2024 An hour from Rocker this month, including new tracks from The Reds, Pinks & Purples; Swansea Sound; Candymouse; Lonely Tourist; Bloodstains; Boyracer; Sweetpool; Humdrum; David Lance Callahan; and The Gentle Spring. There's new electronica from Booka Shade and Gab Rhome, remixed by Jan Blomqvist. This month's Rocker's Shellac Attack is an original rock'n'roller from 1956, while this month's Educating Elizabeth record is a classic from 1970, played to mark the sad passing of one of the female vocal greats. As well as little known acts, here's a little known fact: Gene Vincent's backing band were named The Blue Caps after the headgear worn by US Navy personnel.

Sean Hocking - November 2024 Another monster 4 hour show from Bottom of the Pops this month. New music from Manchester's Gold Cup, Montreal's band du jour, Thine Retail Simps, NZ's Frog Power, Rose City Band, The Serfs, The Conspiracy, Occult Character & The Bordellos. Banco De Gaia is back with a new album, it's been a long time since the last, and although not my usual cup of tea I have to say I'm quite enjoying this one with its pointed barbs about humanity's complete disconnect from the rest of nature. This month's music discovery via a surf video soundtrack are Byron Bay's Dope Lemon. What is it with these Australians , Lime Cordiale, Dope Lemon...citrus bands unite I suppose. It's been 20 years since MF Doom's Food album was released, there's a re-issue out so thought I should feature a tune from that. Oldies care of Cabaret Voltaire, Steve Reich, Micky Newberry, Bauhaus, The Equals and even Flash & The Pan! Thanks for listening and enjoy the show.

Thomas Blatchford - November 2024 It's the 7th anniversary of the Thomas show on Dandelion and there's plenty packed into this month's funtime hour, bookended by reminders to vote in the Festive Fifty. Two pop titans are trojan horsed into the show: Chappell Roan (hope you're well mate) and Avril Lavigne (happy belated birthday), although Sam Sailes is a rising star too. If I had a bitcoin for every Peel Session from 2001 released on vinyl this quarter I'd have two bitcoin I've no idea what to do with, thanks to Saloon and Smog. Hott Sexx have invented a new game after finding Uno cards in the street while walking a dog, Midgee wish you harm, while Kissland are here for a short time AND a good time. Lastly, for some reason your host claims to have not had a show on Dandelion in September, which is incorrect (got my months mixed up, sorry) - you can listen back to it anytime at dandelionradio.com

X-Ray Moon - November 2024 X-Ray Moon is very aware that over in his hemisphere the evenings are becoming longer, darker and colder ... Chestnuts, log fires and pints of warm beer are de rigueur at this time of the year ... as is some good and interesting music, which, he feels is very well provided by those at Dandelion Radio. With all of this in mind Moon has put together a programme that will happily go hand in hand with the above seasonal feelings â and also possibly a tankard of hot mulled wine. Here it is then: Big Audio Dynamite; Mdou Moctar; Section 25; Glyder; Smoke Bellow; Interference; Man/Woman/Chainsaw; and The Shivas are just some of the intriguing mitten-friendly producers of subversive and occasionally melodic sounds and utterances. X-Ray Moon hopes everyone stays warm and enjoys the show.
