Festive Fifty Build Up Show - December 2024
Join a selection of Dandelion Radio DJs for the hour up to midnight (GMT) on Christmas Eve for this one-off, Festive Fifty Build-Up show. They'll be introducing some of their picks of 2024 that didn't quite make it into this year's legendary listeners' poll, while warming up for the first play of the 2024 results starting at midnight.

Andrew Morrison - December 2024
Unusually, this December sees Andy hosting a show without a single Christmas-themed track. He makes up for it slightly by playing you the three songs he voted for in John Peel's 2003 Festive Fifty, to get you in the mood for hearing Dandelion Radio's upcoming 2024 Festive Fifty listeners poll results (repeating every day from Christmas Day until the end of January). Andy also provides some seasonal cheer by playing you a rather unusual electronic track featuring guest "comedy" from fellow DJ Mark Cunliffe!

Elsewhere in this two-hour show, the brilliant new music still keeps coming thick and fast as we race to 2024's finish line. Listen in for tunes from Sjöblom, Kelly Lee Owens, Tired Cossack, Alan Sparhawk, Fake Empire, Lambrini Girls, R. Missing, Peter Perrett, Roberta Fidora, Deary, Azure Blue and more, including a previously unreleased 1987 twelve-inch remix of New Order's classic single 'Bizarre Love Triangle' that features on their 'Brotherhood' definitive edition boxed set.

Thomas Blatchford - December 2024
Happy thingy from The Thomas Show who start this month's shenanigans with a year-round evergreen earworm from Helen Love that suddenly has more relevance in December, followed by the first new track in half a decade by Kayo.
Your host lets slip one of their songs voted for in the Festive 50 (spoiler: it’s by Hott Sexx) plus there's plenty of heat from albums of the year by Good Sad Happy Bad, Yam Lynn, Black Pus, King Stingray and more.

East Germany Etcetera - December 2024
This month X-Ray Moon has decided to give a nod to the two anniversaries of, on the one hand the creation of East Germany in 1949, and hence it is their 75th anniversary this year; and on the other hand, it is the 35th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Having lived in Berlin, X-Ray Moon wanted to doff his imaginary Punk hat to the people who he became very fond of, and who made him very welcome in their city and in their former East Germany.
East Germany gets a bad press – some of it merited, possibly a lot of it merited… but what is always forgotten are the positives about the country, the culture and the music… And how, which is often forgotten, they ensured that all Nazis and Fascists after the Second World War were imprisoned for their crimes ... unlike in West Germany where some of them even became part of the post-war West German Government.
X-Ray Moon wanted to celebrate a moment that is important for European history and remind people that the 'Ossies' made good music too (sometimes).
Moon treats us to some Punk, with the likes of Feeling B and Nina Hagen, for example; some Experimental music with, AG Geige, there is also a little East German Jazz, with Manfred-Ludwig Sextett, and there is also some Ska.
Moon thought that with these anniversaries having loomed over the musical horizon, either he made this programme now or not at all.
So then, for one time only X-Ray Moon hopes the listeners enjoy – both in musical terms and as an intriguing gesture towards a country and a culture that no longer exists – EAST GERMANY ETCETERA.
