Andy's Arab Strap Special - September 2025 Andy has something a bit different, and very special this month: a two-hour Arab Strap special, including an interview with Malcolm Middleton and Aidan Moffat recorded whilst on their August UK tour, in which they discuss their entire three-decade career. The interview is split into four parts throughout the show, and includes exclusive news about their future plans. Naturally, you're going to hear a few of Andy's favourite Arab Strap songs, as well as the usual mix of new music from other acts including Simon Heartfield, The Micronaut, Brian Bilston & The Catenary Wires, Melys, Purity Ring, Tracey, Deary, Saint Etienne, Black Honey and others. | Replay link will appear after show has finished
Gareth Jones - September 2025 Gareth's September show brings three classic cuts taken from a new CD box set called 'All Things Bright And Beautiful - The UK Pop Explosion 1967-1969'. Plus hear a Peel Acres live track by a band who wish they'd come from the Sixties, courtesy of Cardiff's The Loves. The 2nd hour's guest presenter is Gemma from Glasgow Post-Punk band Dancer. She'll be taking part in 'Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue' to coincide with their new album 'More or Less', released September 12th by Meritorio Records. All this, plus new Indiepop from Tullycraft and The Cords, Exotica brass from The Tikiyaki Orchestra and for canine fans, there are four songs about dogs including Elephant 6 duo Giant Day. You'd be barking mad to miss it. | Replay link will appear after show has finished
Jeff Grainger - September 2025 A return to Dandelion after some time and it's all about the old and the new, (and thats not just the presenters). New releases by Cuban Boys, Keanu Nelson, Glimmerpit, Sugar Crease, Brown Wimpenny and Ash Koosha whereas New Order and John Holt represent the old. Grainger Jnr brings the yoof element with some delightful cuts by the likes of Sorry and Sextile. The incredibly excellent cassette label Diet of Worms brings us this months featured LP; "The Sky Has A Mouth Again" a fabulous compilation of reimagined versions of Chuck Berry's "Louie Louie". Double bonus - All net proceeds of which go to Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) and United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Leo Gilbert - September 2025 This month's radio show from Leo is a journey through shifting moods, sonic textures, and cultural connections. It begins with Scott Lavene's dryly humorous "A Bus in July", grounding the listener in everyday detail before sliding into the electronic spectrum with CHLOE's atmospheric "Androgyne" remix, Amon Tobin's kaleidoscopic "Paisley Knights", and Qasim Naqvi's futuristic "Beautification Technologies". The energy grows sharper with Zoë Mc Pherson's glitchy experimentation before drifting into ambient reflection through 7038634357's "Seventeen Nights" and Biosphere's cosmic soundscapes. From there, the program weaves tender folk (Poor Creature), spiritual resonance (Jonah Brody), and surreal humour (Gelli Haha) with darker, more industrial turns from Headless Horseman, Two Shell, and Anne-James Chaton's angular spoken-word collaboration. Midway, sharp-edged punk and murky basslines from Wednesday and Facta sustain the tension. The show then expands outward, embracing global perspectives: Orchestra Gold's Malian-inspired grooves, Bombino's desert blues, and Africa Express's celebratory collaborations. Intimate moments surface in Valentina Goncharova's meditations, Iona Zajac's stripped-back ballad, and Darren Hayman's quiet melancholy. Cinematic and experimental collages follow - IDLES, Blanck Mass, claire rousay & William Tyler, and Nobukazu Takemura—before closing with Viv Albertine's raw spoken confessionals, Tafese Tesfaye's ethereal harp, and Roméo Poirier's aquatic dissolves. A borderless, exploratory soundscape. | Replay link will appear after show has finished

Mark Whitby - September 2025 This month's show features an excellent exclusive session from Alexei Shishkin, featuring not only a wonderful cover of a much-loved Microdisney song but another track that's unlikely to be heard anywhere else, in any form. In addition to that we have tracks from new albums by The Beths, Osees, Richard Quirk and Bloodshot Bill, among others, plus new singles from The Cords, Burial and Cornershop. There's more from the excellent Public Enemy and Half Man Half Biscuit albums plus something from the new Eamon the Destroyer album, destined to join them in my personal list of 2025 favourites. Peel Back..., as usual, reintroduces us to tunes featured in session in John Peel's shows 50, 40 and 30 years ago this month. | Replay link will appear after show has finished
