The Official Festive Fifty

John Peel's famous end-of-year poll continues on Dandelion Radio

Dandelion Radio's Festive Fifty

Play your part in making musical history by taking part in this year's official Festive Fifty!

Vote for your three favourite tracks released in the past year, in order of preference. In theory they could be anything, but tracks played on Dandelion Radio (including session tracks and live recordings) or similar stations are what you should have in mind. Visit our tracklists pages to see what DJs have played this year.

Voting ends at 23:59 on 30th November. A show, featuring all the results, broadcasts from Christmas Day and repeats into January.

The poll is closed!

Follow the links in the table below to read the results of the official Festive Fifties hosted by Dandelion Radio, and see earlier listings for 1976-2005 at Radio 1's website.

The Festive Fifty is an annual chart featuring the previous year's best tracks, as voted for by listeners. Legendary BBC broadcaster John Peel presented the first ever Festive Fifty on Radio 1 back in 1976, and continued to do so until his death in 2004. Radio 1's One Music show hosted the poll in 2005, before Peel's former production team asked Dandelion Radio to become the new home of the official Festive Fifty from 2006 onwards.

Listeners vote for their three favourite tracks of the year at this website for a few weeks leading up to December 1st, with the results being broadcast as part of the schedule during Christmas and New Year.
