On my show this month:
Well it's the height of summer and the mercury is soaring so we have a track inspired by the traditional sounds of New Mexico from Lone Piñon , a charming song about a Bee from and the Native Hipsters, a couple of slabs of pure catharsis from YOUFF and TRAS (angry folks always use caps) and some mellow vibes from Max Lachowicz and Foel. There's also a little mention of global warming from Satoyama but it's so beautiful and cooling you won't mind at all. Add to that my new feature 'Two tracks from local bands' which is just a label for something I've been doing all along, and I'll think you'll find we have everything we need for an hour in each other's company.
On the show NEXT month:
Emma kicks off her fourth show with a touching tribute to Bonnie Tyler from EldGrisen and then rattles very quickly along a rollercoaster of bands with the word 'Snuggle' in their name, live tracks recorded at Leigh Folk festival, some squelch from Wayne Adams , exquisite vocalisations from Eleonora Kampe and the contents of a very busy inbox because you're a talented and generous bunch. There's finally a track from the suavely downbeat Tony Morris and we end with a bit of sweary fun from Angry! , a Southend punk band fronted by a man called Gary and a lady called Anne. They could have called themselves GaryAnne but that would just be backwards.....

Biography:
I have been organising gigs in my local area and beyond for thirty years, and since uni have hosted a string of radio shows. I am passionate about strange music which
doesn't fit neatly in boxes and am a founding member of Culture as a Dare which was a live show, radio show, and then under COVID a series of YouTube festivals. We ran for approximately 15 years until ill health grounded me somewhat.
I am also a musician and I have appeared in the Festive 50 ( a good few years ago), I have played in folk bands, indie pop ensembles, experimental soundtracking projects and an electronic noise band as well as studying jazz and classical. I worked as a music teacher and usually curate a stage at Leigh Folk Festival.
I will play anything which surprises and delights me.
