On my show this month:
Not only has Dandelion Radio been broadcasting for twenty years but the One Big House show is a year old as well! So, birthday presents and gifts for everyone ... well certainly this three hour show hands out some party treats as we play some tracks from the Dandelion Radio archive as part of this shows look at the last twenty years. But for once, going to keep those tracks as a surprise. Amongst the overcooked pastries and curled up sandwiches there's a delightful LP of the month from Girls Chat Room and we also highlight the charity LP from the wonderful Friendly Recordings. Alongside the pile of expensive presents there's a far more worthy set of new album tracks from slippers, Polhawan, 1000 Rabbits, Bathing Suits and Wax Head , we also look ahead to the next few months with tracks from future releases by Sans Froid, Him & Earl , MadMadMad and the wonderful Mouth Ulcers . Get yourself some more birthday cake, a drink of your choice and enjoy!

Biography:
Like many teenagers in the late 70s and early 80s I was fascinated by the ever changing music and fashion culture of the UK. My interest sent me on a journey that has taken me through the usual places – weekly music papers,
grotty music venues, even grottier record shops, MySpace, late night radio and of course John Peel.
My only limitations on how much culture I could pick up through my adult life were the obvious ones – time and money. As friends and relatives got older, they got busy with other things and left the path, some never to
return. But I just kept on moving through a thankfully never-ending enlightenment that only music can bring you.
I have been known to do some DJing. Always voted in the Festive 50, both with Peel and more recently with Dandelion Radio. I tried to play a bass guitar and also a keyboard for a while. Being honest, buying and listening
to records was the only musical endeavour I was good with. Perhaps going to gigs as well!
After years of encouragement, I started onebighouse website.
A chance to share views on some bands, a chance to let people see what they are missing, and ideally a shot in the arm for some hardworking venues. A chance to send someone else on a lifetimes journey they can enjoy
